Anna is an Oncology Clinical Therapist at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute. Prior to joining Life with Cancer, she worked in a broad range of settings including outpatient, community mental health, and crisis services. Following her recent work with people living with HIV/AIDS, Anna is particularly interested in the cultural and psychological impact of chronic illness on patients and their families. She believes in people’s capacity to grow and develop more vital, balanced, and meaningful lives. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Anna also strongly believes in the value of sensitivity to patients’ diverse cultural backgrounds.
