Erin joined Life with Cancer in 2021 and is passionate about working with individuals and families to support their mental health and wellness needs during the course of their treatment. As a licensed clinical social worker, Erin has more than a decade worth of experience providing individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults in both the inpatient and outpatient mental health setting, most recently holding a clinical social work position in an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Currently, Erin is based at Inova Fairfax Hospital’s inpatient adult oncology unit where she provides supportive counseling, resources and education to patients and families while receiving treatment. Erin received her Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of Social Work in New York with a focus in Advanced Clinical Practice in Health & Mental Health and has clinical experience in cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral and trauma-informed care.
