
Mehtab Kaur supports the Inova Peterson Life with Cancer team at Inova Loudoun Hospital. Mehtab received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in 2020 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Mehtab specializes in supporting individuals and families through challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, and generational healing. Mehtab is passionate about working with adolescents, adults and geriatrics while integrating cultural considerations into her therapeutic approach.
She is also dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for clients to build resilience, explore emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies. Mehtab’s practice incorporates evidence-based modalities such as DBT, TF-CBT, CBT, and ACT. She brings a holistic perspective to counseling, informed by attending several international conferences and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Mehtab is committed to ongoing professional growth and staying informed on the latest research to ensure culturally competent, developmentally appropriate care for the clients and families she serves.
Outside of work, Mehtab enjoys traveling, photography, and spending quality time with her family.
