Carlos joined Peterson Life with Cancer as a Behavioral Health Therapist II, Oncology, in 2025 and is based at Inova Alexandria Hospital’s Radiation Oncology Clinic and Inova Schar Cancer – Alexandria/Mark Center. Prior to working with Inova, Carlos worked as a Youth and Family therapist serving immigrant students and underserved communities for five years as an LCPC in Maryland. Carlos attended Southern University at New Orleans for undergraduate studies, double majoring in Psychology and Substance Abuse. He then attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for his master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. Carlos is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and two Boston terriers.
