Christine Stone, RN, MSN, OCN

Oncology Nurse Navigator

Christine joined Inova in 1991 as a new graduate nurse and the Life with Cancer team in 2013. She is a seasoned oncology nurse, with over 29 years’ experience at Inova. She has worked in many areas across the system which include medical, radiation oncology, stem cell transplant and as an Oncology educator for nurses. Christine has been an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society. Locally she has participated in the local ONS chapter of Northern Virginia and served as a board member. Christine was awarded the 2018 Cure Magazine Extraordinary Healer Award at the Oncology Nurses Society Annual Conference. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Radford University and her master’s in nursing at George Mason University. She feels it is important for those diagnosed with cancer to never feel alone and know navigators as well as their medical care team are there for them to help them thru their cancer journey. Christine resides in Ashburn, Virginia, with her husband, three children, and Vizsla dog.
