Jemma Stratton, MSW

Pediatric Oncology Clinical Therapist

Jemma joined the team at Life with Cancer in May 2021. As a pediatric oncology therapist, Jemma strives to provide evidence-based and trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, and families impacted by cancer. Jemma received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from James Madison University. She continued on to receive her Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Health Care Practice from the University of Washington, and is currently working towards her clinical licensure in Social Work. Jemma was a member of the 2019-2020 cohort of the Northwest Leaders in Behavioral Health Fellowship, in addition to completing research on assessment strategies for detecting intrusive thoughts amongst individuals experiencing Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Previously, Jemma has held social work roles providing intensive in-home counseling to children and adolescents, and assisting families navigate hospitalization in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her areas of interest include pediatric bereavement, palliative care, maternal mental health, child development, and working within the intersection of mental health and healthcare. In her free time, Jemma enjoys reading, going on nature walks, and spending time with her cats and loved ones.
