Sara Negron, MS, RD, CSO

Oncology Dietitian

Sarah is a registered Dietitian and board-certified specialist in oncology (CSO) who joined Inova in July 2014 and currently works full time with the infusion and radiation oncology team at the Fair Oaks location. Sara began working at Inova while finishing a master’s degree in nutrition education through American University. Sara aims to continue working with cancer patients of all backgrounds and cultures.

Sara was raised in Annandale and is of Puerto Rican descent – learning to speak Spanish and English fluently. Taking on her love of food, nutrition, and Latin culture, Sara graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and minors in medical Spanish, Latin American culture, and biology. Sara focused her undergraduate research on the impact of culture on food choices and overall health. She then completed her dietetic internship in Augusta, GA, at the Charlie Norwood Veterans Hospital and the Medical College of Georgia where she gained hands-on experience working with cancer patients and patients with war related injuries.
