Sarah Brooks, LPC has over a 15 years of counseling experience providing support to those affected by cancer and other chronic and life-limiting illnesses. She has provided supportive care in a variety of settings, including a hospice and palliative care organization, grief and loss center, and a local Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
At Life with Cancer, Sarah provides individual counseling and support groups for patients and their caregivers. She facilitates the Good Grief Bereavement Support Group, Leukemia & Lymphoma Support Group, Coalesce Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group, among others.
Sarah has a particular interest in grief and bereavement, and has achieved Certification as a Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider through the MISS Foundation and the Center for Loss and Trauma. Sarah has a master’s degree in Community Counseling from the George Washington University.
Sarah lives in Falls Church with her husband, three daughters, rescue pup and two chickens. She enjoys yoga, cooking and global travel.
